Common questions
Before you write to us
Nine to twelve months for July to October or the Christmas period, because the good camps are small and fill early. Three to four months is usually enough for other seasons, and we have placed people in a fortnight when a cancellation appeared.
Less than most people assume. A private vehicle for two adds roughly ten to fifteen percent over a shared departure, and it decides everything about how the days feel — when you leave, how long you stay at a sighting, whether you stop for lunch.
Yes, from about five upwards. We shorten drives, book family tents with connecting rooms, and pair you with a guide who enjoys explaining things. Under five is possible but usually better spent on the coast.
Tell us and we adjust the ground arrangements. Internal flights we hold can be moved without penalty up to seventy-two hours out in most seasons.
Often. The usual pattern is the climb first while you are fresh, then three or four safari days, then Zanzibar. Twelve to fourteen days does all three without rushing.
Yes. There is a single supplement because camps charge per tent, but we do not price solo guests out of a private vehicle.
